(So it was over, rain played spoilsport :( Don’t be sad, there will be more chances!)
Metalheads, rejoice! After what seems ages, finally India’s rock capital will finally witness a *real* rocking concert! Brit Symphonic Metal act Cradle of Filth, have announced they will perform live at Palace Grounds, Bangalore, India on Saturday, the 23rd of April 2011!

Cradle of Filth is a Suffolk, England based Extreme Metal band, who started off as a Black Metal band but now are more rounded off with songs containing more elements of Symphonic and Gothic Metal and some Black Metal. Dani Filth’s (yes, he is the band leader and that is not his real name) vocals are less dark and growling nowadays. They are often referred to as the most influential English metal band after Iron Maiden. In fact some of CoF’s most popular songs are Maiden covers, like
‘Hallowed be thy Name’, Ninja Scroll version
Also my favorite, Nymphetamine
Another favorite: Saffron’s Curse (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
Then again, Metal might not be your cup of juice, but hey. For me, Metal sets me free, always did. And more than that: A rock concert in Bangalore promises an experience that would never let you down!
Oh, and No, Satan did NOT invent heavy metal.
P.S: I will not be attending. Why? A combination of marriage and religion did me in.
